c. Phillip's eyes don't get better and he is blind for the rest of his life.

3. With a partner: Work out approximately how long Phillip spent on the cay. Look for clues from the beginning of Chapter 2. Write down your answer in a complete sentence.

4. In small groups of four: The following is a list of things that are useful when you are on a cay. Check them all in a dictionary first. Then talk about which things are the most useful. Number them from 1-13 (1 = most useful). After you have ordered your list, write the list in your spiral. Explain your reasoning for the top three items on the list. Explain why the thirteenth item is last.
